at dizzy debs - did you know that the uk and Scotland in particular get more tornadoes in terms of numbers on average than the usa does?
The difference is in uk they are small, usually touch down in remote areas and as a result cause little damage and also not often seen other than by radar ( hence how they know about them! )
The ones in the usa are much more powerfull, can be of enormous size and wind speeds and cause widespread damage and loss of life.
So news, media etc show all this and people think America has lots of tornadoes - and they do - but we get more!   just little ones though.

So your in more danger here than if you were in certain parts of the USA!!!
Especially if it came in the night, no 1 could see it, no tornado warning sirens or warning systems to give folks time to find shelter and no bathtub in your tent to climb into to escape the debris flying at speeds fast enough to slice clean through you!
And you thoug you were safe!
Always take a metal bathtub when camping,
