Aww just love Cornwall. Been in October for the last ermm 20 years. Started off with the Suns £9.50 holidays in a tin can and booked extra nights to make it a week - but now there's so many hidden extras for the extra days. So last year we could finally book out of the school holidays and decided to book through the site. Soooo much cheaper. This year we're on our own - weren't going to go, then someone said we'd regret it - thought about it and booked it - will be very strange.
We always stay somewhere between Perranporth and Newquay but only as as base as you can go North, East, South or West and nowhere is too far. Seen most of Cornwall now but still find new things to do and see (as it's October there's no full beach days so we do get around a bit)
Seen all sorts of weather but make the most of it - or it is really really awful we read a book and play games - treat in itself. I've known the girls skinny dip at Bedruthan steps in November it was so hot and we've seen tornadoes, spring tides with high winds and once sleet/snow as big as golf balls! But it's still great!
As we've seen all this weather - think we prefer a tin house rather than a tent at this time of year but during the summer I would just go for it - though we personally wouldn't like the huge amount of people and traffic.
So glad you had a great time - never be put off by the weather in Cornwall unless it's truly bad - as it's one of the most beautiful in the British Isles and there is plenty to do and see!!
