I am going to a site next week, and the car isn't allowed beside the tent. Luckily our pitch has a grass bank to the rear of it and a lane up the back of the bank. Although we can't leave the car there my intention is to temporarily park the car and chuck everything over the bank. Then if hardy comes to hardy we have a really good festival trolly from Funky Leisure, this one is strong enough to carry a fully grown man but at £50 or so it was a real investment.
Sounds like heaven to me. Spent a bank hols opposite some tenters with 2 cars and a baby. Every 10 mins they needed something from a car, no exaggeration.
Having just returned from the site you are talking about I say go. All the pitches are close to the parking area and a large trolley, which will fit all your gear in, is provided. Load it up, wheel it to your tent and away you go. Easy peasy.
In my opinion, sites without the car next to the tent are so much nicer. Ruberslaw is a joy for young children as they can roam free around the site and in the woods. I would be less inclined to allow this with cars moving on and off pitches all day long.
The site looks better for it and no slamming of car doors throughout the day.
This site is the nicest I have ever visited. I will put a review in the site review section.
