Me too! Brilliant idea.
We have a short length of hosepipe with a universal adaptor so we can take them to the tap and soak them if they get too hot. We get their travel cages out of the car, cover them with a sheet so they're shaded, and leave them where they can get in them if they want.
A friend has kids' t-shirts for her dogs, she soaks them and then pops them on the dogs.
Wow thanks everyone , some fab ideas there ... Our dog is 14 now and is a cross collie so she has lots of hair. I plan to give her a good brush and bath before we go. A trip to the pet store is in order I think too, I might get a small paddling pool but she hates having a bath so might struggle getting her in lol. I'm defo gonna take a parasol of some kind just in case ther is no shade near us. Looking at the weather forecast tho it may be a bit cooler by the end of next week ....thanks again everyone

Found our Nivana ❤️
Ours have bandanas too but tend to tear at each other's when playing! The idea is just so you can cool them down . Ours have a second purpose in that we can identify our 2 when they are playing with their Labbie friends!!
We got back yesterday from our four nighter at vale of Pickering ( lovely campsite) and the weather was lovely. When Bella got hot I soaked a tea towel with cold water and did a makeshift bandana for her and also soaked a big towel and wrapped her up in it ! She loved it.
