Are quechua family pop ups out of fashion now?

I use one as my weekend tent and once you get the hang of wrestling it back into a packable state (it does take a bit of effort to contort it back into the required shape to get back into the bag) it takes 10-15 minutes to erect and put away. Possibly slightly small for a main tent for 2 + dog, but depends on what you want.

Although if it's "good old camping in a tent" your after then cotton (polycotton) rules. My parents (and I) both have Kampa Frinton Classic and extension which they manage with (both mid 60s in age and reasonably fit). This won't be as easy as the latest air-tech tunnel but will be at least half the price I imagine. And they're not light to carry about either. But neither is a cotton air erected tent.

But then again bell tents are lovely but less practical in use, although may work better with 2 rather than the tribe I usually take with me. Where do you put the kitchen etc. And I'm seeing more and more pyramid style tents cropping up with acclaimed good storm coping capabilities and some people rave about them, although I don't know much about them myself.

I've returned to camping, after several years in a folding camper, for only two years now and have been through an outwell montana lake (too big, sold it), and now have a Kampa frinton and quechua family pop up for weekend/ camping without the kids.

A lot depends on budget and preferences, but best of luck with what you decide.

I'm camping in a 25 yr old Cabanon Elzas at the moment. I've erected it twice since Friday, takes about 20 minutes tops on my own. So yes old stuff is worth considering.

I pitch a Coleman instant tourer for 1 or two nights. 2.43 x 2.43(less than a minute!)

For longer stays I prefer to be really confy under canvas in my hypercamp El Dorado.4 x 3.5m (15 minutes)

Both are really easy to erect, even for a single person.
