Found a nice collection of daddy longlegs last month. Dead and crispy.

If you line them up and cover them with chocolate it's as good as a Curley Wurley

We shoo them out with the help of a tea towel then pack the others with the tent!

I've never seen so many black beetles as when we packed up this morning, all between the tent and footprint. Not sure what they were, about a centimetre long, black and shiny, thought maybe rain beetles or something? I think they were nocturnal as they just kept trying to run back under the tent as we folded it. None inside the tent though 17

I had the same thing when I went camping a couple of weeks ago and they didn't seem to want to get off the footprint as I was trying to fold it.

I evicted little unwanted visitors that were dancing around in the top of my outer tent using a plastic glass and the brush from my mini-dustpan. It proved surprisingly easy to put the glass up against the tent over the fly, brush the fly into it, block the glass with the brush, flip it outside and go back for the next one. Didn't take long.
I use a glass & a piece of card. Put the glass over the fly, then slide the card across it trapping the fly, then put it out. I use this method to evict flies, bees, wasps, spiders, moths & butterflies. I kill ants. However, if there's a daddy-long-legs in the tent then I'm outta there & as far away as I can run  Hubby has to deal with those

I believe in natural control and the best thing to do is introduce some spiders. They will soon sort the flies out.

Our dyson handheld dc34 animal comes with us on every trip. Excellent for dog hair and for cleaning up dried grass, dead insects and sand/grit from the carpets and groundsheets. We also use it to clean the interior of the car before heading home. As you may guess we have OCD.

My main problem wasn't clearing up inside the tent, that was all good. My problem was inside my porch it was full of flies and little money spiders/cobwebs so every morning it was in with a dyson clearing out before I could even cook breakfast or make a coffee. Got lots of funny looks.....
