We've always had C&CC membership, mainly because our favourite sites happen to be C&CC! I've always been happier knowing what standard of campsite I am visiting? That said we've just had a cracking little weekend in a listed site for £15 a night including electric!!!! I think we might well go back to this site a fair few times!

I will echo that! I live just down the road from both these sites - I would definitely prefer to stay at Ross Park. Personal preference I guess but well worth a look.

I personally find it worthwhile being a member, not so much for the Club sites but so I can access their CS, THS and rallies.

This is exactly what I am talking about. There is no dispute that a member gets a cheaper tariff than a non-member and quite right too otherwise why join. However, if you add the £37 membership fee to the £13 you paid per night it works out more than that in reality. Is it then still cheaper than a non-member would pay who hasn't had to pay a membership fee?

Well, it was more or less double for non-members, so a saving of 6 x £13 = £78, less the £37 membership, we're still £41 up. And the more we go, the more we save!

We love Graffham, go there a lot, and so it's worth it for us.

Yes of course...if you enjoy continually use a particular club site then you would be foolish to keep paying a non-member tariff.

In my case I visit areas rather than campsites and look for the cheapest campsite in that area that ticks all or most of my boxes. That is unlikely to be club sites because I wouldn't be able to use them often enough to make it financially viable.

I use both C&CC sites and independent sites.

I camp on my own with two dogs and find that the C&CC sites are cheaper for me as they charge per person and no charge for the dogs. Quite a number of independent sites have a set charge for unit, car and Two people and then an extra charge for each dog so that can get pretty expensive for me. That said there is an independent site in Cornwall that i have been going to for years which i am prepared to pay the extra for because it is an area that i love, is beautifully kept, out in the countryside but a short drive from wonderful beaches. (the nearest C&CC site is 10 miles away, so not really practical to use)

I have used a number of C&CC sites over the past 5 years and have had no cause for complaint about any of them. All well maintained, clean facilities and nice areas. Booking on-line is easy and secured by a deposit of £25, the balance paid on arrival at the site. I shall definitely be continuing my membership as it suits my situation.
