Going by my last trip (Last week) I think I need to learn a new to me knot for the paracord The one lorry drivers use to tighten down their load(No Idea what its called)

As said cartiers/truckers hitch or easier is the tautline hitch, the one I generally use for simplicity, a second tautline hitch tied a few inches away with the tag end really locks it in place. I usually use 3 turns and then 1 turn. never had any problems using that.
The truckers hitch has the advantage that it is quick release and by making multiple passes through the loop and around the anchor can be very powerful knot, as it acts like a pulley

Going to look at getting the Vango Adventure tarp or the Decathlon one, I prefer the Decathlon one, but the Mrs like the fact the Vango one matches the tent. However its £10 more which she could spend on Bunting!!

Millets has the Adventure tarp and you an get 15% off with the code "HOLIDAY" until tomorrow!

Spanna33

Its the windbreak that Aldi had in last week or so, there are still some in the stores around here. £9.99 and not really very noisy.

I saw you post as I had just ordered the Decathlon one! I would try and sneak the two but after this weekends trip we have a list of things we need/want and that has totted up to over £100 so will have to wait for now, it might be availible in the sales.
