We have and still do camp in the 4m Bell as a family of 5, it is only for a couple of nights at a time and we also have a drive away awning that we use as a kitchen diner in the cooler months.

Two double beds leave enough space for clothes/gear a small table for the kettle & coolbox but not much more:

One double hidden behind the 'curtain' and a sofa bed allows for sitting space during the day, a small table & electric stove:

Pendragoncs - so, has your tent arrived ?
Did you go for the 4 or 5m ?

I'm sold. but I'm still undecided about the size. I do think it'll just be myself & my boy(5) mainly..and then maybe my daughter next yr when she's old enough.
I think if the 4 of us do go away, we'd only go for 1 or 2 nights at a time. So with that in mind, would the 4m suffice ?
I'm guessing most will tell me to plump for the 5m...but what with cost, and the fact I have a tiny garden to dry said tent(figure I could just about erect the 4m, although not fully)..I'm hoping you all tell me the 4m will be fine for short breaks..even if it means scrapping the woodburner idea.

It has....its also had a pitch in the garden...turns out i'm missing one of the caps from the pole, but getting creative with some rag allowed my to get it up. Can't say it was the best pitch (think i messed up the pegs and maybe didn't get the grounded as tight as possible, but it allowed up to make sure all was well and give it a soaking and dry as recommended by some.

We went for a 5M SoulPad Hybrid-G (G as they did that for the same price as the normal Hybrid). We will be using a 1/4 inner which the girls will sleep in but thats actually big enough that on colder night we could possibly kip in there as well.

My stove will be ready in a couple of weeks so one thats arrived i'll take the tent away for a quick night to get that fitted i.e. flu hole cut etc.

Finger crossed out first camp in anger will be october half term...one i thing of somewhere nice to go and book it.

outwell posada, either single or double, folding bed. for extra comfort you can put a self inflating mattress on top.
