We've got one of the aluminium picnic tables with the attached seats. Bought it 4 years ago and it's still bomb proof, I weigh 17 stone and it feels absolutely solid!
Stay away from the cheap plastic ones, they are very flimsy and only really any good for small children!

would have to disagree, whilst they won't stand up to acrobatics, we have had one for 15 years now.
We bought it for the convenient pack size and it was all we could really afford at the time, thinking it would do for a couple of weeks.
Every year we expect it to give up the ghost and think of buying something else, yet every year it seems to survive.
Would probably prefer a bench version as there are only two of us.
We use a suitcase stove and my beloved Cobb as I can do almost anything on there. We had a twin burner stove with grill before that and found the grill never worked and the unit took up too much space in the car (pre campervan and in the days when we had to take a buggy for DD)
Table wise we use like several others do a roll top table that we've had for years and various types of deckchair/camping chairs depending on what comes out of the shed first. Check the heights of the chairs when you sit at the table, some aren't tall enough.
