You are wrong about cars, even at today's good £/€ rate cars are cheaper in UK across the board compared with other European countries. Do some research before posting hearsay, check the websites of car manufacturers for all other European countries & UK, we pay less new. Check foreign used car sales websites, we pay less for used cars. One reason is that we have lower tax regime. Try 100% sales tax on luxury cars in Denmark for example.
& while you are at it try paying road tax in Holland, how about over £1000 pa for average size diesel car? & house prices above even UK.
& so it is for electrical goods, computers, tablets, white goods, even phone contracts, all cheaper in UK, try just looking at price of clothes & even toiletries in a French supermkt. All above UK prices.
Fortunately Brit visitors to France etc can take advantage of cheaper campsite, food & diesel prices though...Lucky we don't have to live there.
