I have bought a couple of the 'Value' fan heaters from Argos over the years and unless Argos are now buying from a different supplier, I can confirm the heaters do have the trip switch on the bottom.
Not only that but they also use 1.00 mm wiring for the lead. Many similar heaters use 0.75 mm wiring which can get quite hot under prolonged use, as in a tent.
I am actually about to buy another one because I am using the one I had for camping at home and my wife tends to fill them with talcum powder!!
I will check it out before parting with my money just in case Argos are now selling an inferior model.
