Tesco's bags for life are good enough for me. I use one for my clothes and one for bits and pieces that don't seem to have a place anywhere else, like dry snacks (biscuits and crisps, maps, torches, tea and coffee containers etc.). Both bags usually sit on the floor in the bedroom pod.

My main problem with clothes, whether using a holdall or bags is that they start off all nicely folded and stacked neatly in the bags until the first time I can't find something and then the whole lot gets turfed out and thrown back in a total mess.

I use packing cases like the ones in IKEA. I have one for tops, one for trousers etc. My sweatshirt normal fits in the holdall on the top. Everything stays in them until I need them....and stays folded. It's a lot easier to repack. The first cases I bought years ago from Eagle Creek were expensive but are more stretchy. However, I find the ikea ones just as useful.

We have a low larder for our clothes, top of it is then useful for putting stuff on top, lamp, toiletries, etc.

Because we have campbeds we also have more storage under the beds, which is great for shoes and bags.

Hi Tracey, where did you get that low larder from?

Another vote for plastic drawers. Pack them before you leave home and everything stays neat and tidy. They're bulky bit great if you can find the room.

I'm giving each of the kids (2) a 50L plastic box for all their clothes. The boxes will go in between the airbeds and double as bedside tables. I'll have one too. All shoes will go in an underbed storage box and stay by the door.

The way round this is ziploc bags, the large size. I used to package up the kids socks (7 days) one for each child. Then their undies the same. One year I even vac packed their t-shirts!

It was from Aldi but a good few years ago now, we've always wanted another one for the living area and they've never had them in again! Ideal because of the hard top surface.

We use plastic storage boxes as well, which double ad bedside tables. Bought a set of 5, the others are used for food, kitchen bits, odds and sods, they stack in the front area.
If you are using ziplock bags, put a days worth of clothes per bag, undies, top, socks etc, especially for children and grab 1 bag per day - especially good when going down to the shower block to wash and dress.

Storage boxes usually which are stored under the camp beds or used as bedside tables. If I am using my 8 seater Toyota Hi Ace, I like to use the plastic drawers - 1 for clothes and 1 for all the kitchen/cooking stuff.

There are some fantastic solutions here!

As I said, we have airbeds so no storage beneath.

Loving the idea of the ziploc bags though, ditto the idea packing bags!

Not sure whether we'd fit plastic boxes on our car - we've a Zafira (no roof box) and it's usually crammed to the rafters as it is! Wish we could though!

I tend to keep our clothes in the car. We have an 8 seater so I leave one of the back seats down and put the bags on there. Then if we go out to beach etc we still have boot space.
We are a family of 6 when all present and although we have a big tent it just looks cluttered with all our bags inside. We also have air beds so no storage under camp beds. I'd love to have camp beds but take up too much space.
