A big thank you to everyone who replied to my post. Well we are back and we were fine. The picnic blankets on the floor of the bedrooms were a big success. We on,y really had one cool evening and we went for showers, put our pyjamas on and our clothes back over the top which worked a treat. Also bought a small ceramic heater before we went which didn't make a huge difference but it was definitely a little warmer in the tent than outside.

The fan (and oscillation feature) helps with the air circulation, of course.
I doubt it's the biggest or the best, but it does for us, with all the safety features, the low wattage (1500 max) and it being reasonably compact etc. Takes the mid-winter chill off, if nothing else... and at the price in the link, an absolute bargain, as I'm pretty sure we paid around £16 for ours.
