Update:

The DD Tarp XL turned out to be a disaster ... much too large for what we wanted.

We instead purchased VonHaus Shade Sail 2x3m – Sun Shade Canopy for £11.99, just the right size. It was great as a sun shade but bit iffy in the rain; it needs a middle pole to stop the water pooling. Also need to waterproof it a bit more..
