I much prefer a bathtub groundsheet as the rain water can't get in and there are no gaps under the tent that make you feel colder or less secure and safe.

Can I show my ignorance (new to this) - what is a bathtub groundsheet?
Many thanks, CP
SIG by another name. It`s used for the sewn in groundsheet arrangement you have in the pods of flysheet first tents. Basically a tray shaped groundsheet that is sewn onto the inner wall of the tent. Usually this sort of tent is erected inner first.
The new groundsheets that are coming out in this year`s flysheet first tent are caller Riser groundsheets...they are seperate but have small wall sections that curl up the inside of the tent and toggle into place.
There was also a fashion last year for semi-SIG groundsheets...sewn in on some side but not all. (Yes, I think it`s an oxymoron too....)
