They sound great - where do you get them from?
Thanks in advance.

You have to order over the internet (not available in camping shops unfortunately), but the company you order from are very quick. I ordered my last lot of bags on the wednesday, they would have received the cheque on thursday and I received the WAG bags on the friday!! It's quite a 'strange' ordering route but stick with it it works, their web site is www.thepett.co.uk

We had a porta potti and used all correct chemicals but I was never happy that it was Thoroughly cleaned out properly so I got rid and my suspicions were verified when I took it apart to properly clean it yuck Unless you completely dismantle it to clean it out each trip take my word for it they are NOT sanitary
This was also one of my reasons for swapping to The PETT system, no worries about cleanliness with WAG bags!!
Well, there`s one thing about the lo-tech bucket...it`s easy to clean. And if you feel really fussy, you throw it away at the end of the fortnight and buy a new one per trip from the £1 shop. (I`m really lo-tech...no lid. )

I have to disagree, as would many many caravanners. We've used porta-potti's for years (we don't bother taking it any more as we use mainly club sites with full facilities and space in the car can be a problem when tenting) and they are every bit as hygienic as proper toilets - the waste goes into a separate waste tank which seals it in until time to empty it. If you use the right amount of the right chemicals there's little smell. And it cleans out really easily. You wouldn't eaxactly be drinking water from the waste tank but it's not unhygienic. You can use bowl cleaner in your top flushing tank too to keep the bowl sweet smelling.
My brother used to have a little motorcaravan (remember the tiny Fiat Amigo?) and at the end of his last trip he had been camping wild and had nowhere to empty the loo before returning home. When he got home he forgot to empty the loo and just put it away. 2 years later he discovered the loo, which was sitting stored in a cupboard in the house, hadn't been emptied (see what I mean, no smell as the waste tank was so well sealed). So when he came to empty it the liquid had dried out leaving the solid matter sort of congealed in the waste tank. He ended up having to scrape it out with a spoon...........
Did I ever mention the time we were on a w/end rally in a farmers field where a chemical toilet emptying pit had been dug - it was wet & muddy and one guy whilst emptying his loo slipped & fell in........
