oops just realised that you didn't by the quest in the end.

does the robens tent have a large air vent at the rear? it seems that more and more manufactures are using a vent point as one of the main guying points, this then leaves you with two options in bad weather.

1. don't guy out the vent flap and be nice and warm at night only to find the tent has fallen down around you

2. peg it out and spend the night freezing because of the nice draft blowing through into the inner tent, (which is what happened on the first trip out with the monty4 and hence the need to look for an alternative winter tent)

 thanks for the advice, i am not that bothered about drafts in the main living area, in fact we don't actually use a ground sheet if we can help it.

The main problem i am finding is that the vent at the rear of the tent lines up with the vent on the inner tent, and there was a draft of cold air coming in all through the night, first time i have slept in a woolie hat in years.

Thinking one of the JF might be the tent for next year, they just look so realiable (Shh don't tell Oh)

Better get saving some penny's for next year, or maybe even end of year sales, think i would have to hide it somewhere until a suitable time came to break the news of a 5th tent in the family.

SO i can have my monty for weeks away in the summer when light and airy is needed and JW tent for winter weekends when warm and cosy is essential.
