My tent goes up in about 5 minutes flat, but I was well impressed recently when the owner of a pop up tent threw his on the floor, then dived inside it.
It was blowing a howling gale, and he shouted "pegs later" as he gave me a commentary on his kettle's progress.
I am usually the one drinking coffee while others are juggling a hang glider with pegs.

He was dry in the morning, and appeared to be comfortable too.

The biggest drawback appears to be that once folded, they would be a swine to fit in a backpack.

According to the Decathlon camping magazine, a smaller pack size is on the cards for net year.

When I'm solo camping, I normally use a 2 berth dome, but my Quechua has a lot more room inside.

Hi all I've just bought the Outwell one because of the watertightness 3000hh.  Agreat little tent that suprisingly roomy inside and stood up to last weekends bad weather with no problems or leaks.

A smaller pack size would be nice and maybe a porch, but, all in all for £40 at Complete Outdoors you can't go wrong

Oois, That pop up in Birmingham was it the guy also selling gazebo's? I nearly bought one and it looked different from the ones shown here.

i dont think he was seeling gazeboes. the stall was in side. the other brands like outwell will be waterproof. it was the quechua ones that we were told were only showerproof. but if your happy with yours then they must be ok. it just put me off thats all

Seeing as they are pretty obviously all made in the same place, I can't believe that they are using different spec materials. It's probably a bit like car manufacturers quoting different figures for the same car (Ford Galaxy/ VW Sharan/ Seat Alhambra). The whole idea of everybody doing the same is reduction of overheads, changing spec's goes against that.

Quechua were the original, but I would have no hesitation using any of the other 'makes'. The other makes weren't around when I needed one, so I've got a Quechua. If I was to buy tomorrow, it would be the eurohike, becuase it's cheaper!

Gelert even advertise theirs as unique - as unique as the other 3 on the market!!

We bought the Outwell Jersey to use overnight when we go away in a couple of weeks' time.  Found it hard to find places to stop en route last year so thought this would be a better idea as loads of campsites around.
