Thanks Princess Moomoo - i ordered it this morning!

I am a camping virgin so can only hope this will be a fab way of getting away on a tight budget (once the initial outlay is dealt with!)

With 2 kids of 22 months and 7 months.... im hoping this tent will give me bags of space on a rainy day!

hi

I hope you are as pleased with it as we are. It has stacks of room. You could use the storage bit at the back as a loo / changing room. We went with just our 3 yr old last weeknd and we shared one bedroom and used the other bedroom as a changing room etc...

I hope you enjoy your first trip and let us know how it went.

Vicky

Hi JARM - and welcome to UKCS. Glad you have crossed the first hurdle and made a decision about a tent. SHame you have to wait so long to try it though! have you thought about trying a small trip near to home before a bigger adventure in July? Especially if you have not camped before, and in order to give your wee ones a taster, it can be helpful to have a "trial" run close to home for a first trip. It can help you work out what you do and don't need, and give everyone a taste of things to come!

I have always remembered a VERY sleepless night with my sis and her 2 year old when we went camping and had failed to think through that her daughter might find it all a bit overwhelming to start with! She did settle eventually, (about 3 days in) but we realised that we could have maybe had a try out just overnight in the garden and avoided all that stress!

If you have a garden big enough to pitch your tent, you can even have a trial run in the garden. My kids love camping - even if it's only in the garden, and it would give the little one a chance to get used to it.

Oops, sorry, realised I just repeated what someone else said - that'll teach me to read all the posts first!

thanks people, we were planning to pitch it in the garden to do a trial run..... and the july campsite is only 40 miles away, so not too far!

Its going to take me til July to get all this other stuff i need!!! Im looking at Towsure.com at the moment for most things - i assume they are ok?!

We had a freecamp three bedroom tent last year, and had the same problems, the worst one being the rain blowing under the sides of the living area.

It's gone now, and being the easily led person i am i bought the three bedroom one out of argos......ProAction i think is the make.

We've just got back from our first weekend away with it, the kids had the two rooms at one end, we had the huge one at the other. In between was a lovely full height room, which i cooked brekkie in without a problem. We were also treated with the usual horrible bank holiday weather, and had a tremendous downpour on the second night which flooded the campsite, but not our tent! It was dry, still and very very easy to put up, even with the help of a know it all teenager....lol

I've seen a lot a cracking tents while out and about, but on our budget (which is ultra small) this tent is fantastic. Can't wait to get away again, had absolutely no doubts or problems with it.

Gone are the 'sleeping on the floor' times, I love my TT.
