I do hope you are able to sort the tent out and successfully erect it. We have a Vango 700 and to be honest the first couple of times putting it up in the garden world war three nearly broke out. When we go camping we arrive early and really take our time. If we are having probelms or its a bit windy we just bite our lip and ask other campers if they would'nt mind giving us a hand. Four pairs of hand are certainly better than two pairs of stressed out hands. We have never been refused help by our kind neighbours though their kids usually have a good laugh. But it certainly helps to make friends quickly. After all we are all in the same boat, there to have a good time and enjoy ourselves. No one is the perfect or expert camper, we all can learn from each other.
As well as all the fab tips you have been given already, we bring a kitchen brush with a long handle to help the small person hold up the cross poles whlist the other is doing the ring and pin thing. Well it work for us and I can sweep the tent out each day. 'Tent Proud you know' You never know who might drop by?
Have a fab camping Hol and hope you do relax and enjoy in the Vango 700. It a brillant tent and is a home from home 'when' it has been erected. Good Luck.
