To be bluntly honest ( and I am a big Outwell fan ).  I would not buy the Nebraska this year.  There are some very bad design faults and a huge number have been returned.  Even Outwell have advised me to wait for the 2007 model before my one is replaced for the 2nd time.

Outwell have had an extremely bad year with some of their range.  Even the Montana range has had some design faults this year and a fair few have leaked ( no where near the number of Nebraskas ).

I am hoping that Outwell have taken all the comments on-board for both the Nebraskas and the Montanas for 2007.

You might add the Sun Valley to that list; have you read the number of threads on faulty tents recently? Something has gone drastically wrong with Outwell quality control this year, for sure.

Hi Dave - did a search but can't find who's selling the Monty 12 at that price.  Will you give us the name ( or are all the Monty owners gonna keep it a secret so we can't join your club)?  Thanks

Hello everybody,

I'm a bit nervous of the Outwell tents at the moment due to the comments i've read on here. Although deep down I would really like to get one, i'm not confident of buying one that doesn't leak.

I'm now looking at the Sunncamp family vario 900. It looks huge. Does anybody have any experience of one of these.

Dave

Just so you know - not sure whether it will make a difference but PJ Camping are selling the 2007 version of the Outwell Montana at £340 - ours is up in our garden at present as we wait to see whether it leaks!  Doesn't come with the carpet - but does have the useful thermometer :-)

And...it has rained heavily yesturday and we checked inside and it was all dry - so hopefully the leak thing has been fixed!

Suttons, are you saying you have a 2007 tent?  These are not being released until February.  I live almost next door to PJ Camping, the only ones I have seen are the 2006 model that they are discounting heavily at the moment to shift the last of the stock.

Fortunately, all my Montanas do not leak and they have all been used numerous times.  But I do get the other problems ( groundsheet lifitng, poles twisting etc ).  I solved the extra long porch by making my own one out of fibreglass sections.
