For 2007, how about a green coloured heavy cotton ridge tent with a waxed cotton fly sheet, wooden poles, wooden tent pegs seperate canvas groundsheet and hemp guy ropes. The doors are secured with tapes tied in neat bows .   Well bell bottomed slacks made a comeback!

Something like this:

Coolest tent going this summer, or any summer. I also bought a new Relum Task Force 4 with extension at spring bank and have also been using that for weekending. I must say I'm very well pleased with it and eagerly looking forward using it in the colder weather .

I'd love a ridge tent, oh aren't those Relums really expensive though?

The Icelandic in the top picture was £50 off ebay 2 years ago, when it was already about 8 years old. It should be good for another 10 - 15 yrs at least. The Task Force in the lower pic would set you back something over £400 with the extension but you're looking at a tent that will, with a little care, last a long time.

I hope all tents do not end up with SIG, would like a tent with either full mud flaps or with zip in or riser groundsheets. Can't be doing with dealing with SIGs.

I think Dormer bungalow type with inner bedrooms upstairs. Now that would be good.

Not a good idea. In a dormer bungalow, the dormer bedroom takes up most of the loft space.
You need that space to store the luggage.

How about a detached garage & inflatable flowerbeds?
