Cheers for the replies - it is so hard to choose especially as we have had such good times in our vango tents in the past few years. We really like the look of the sunncamp vario with it's storage area but a work colleague told us yesterday that his vario was torn to bits when he used it for the second time in stormy weather in Cornwall last year! - has anyone else had this problem? Has anyone got a vango vail as bad weather seems to follow us (around even to France!) and our vango tents have never given us any problems with leaks etc however bad it is, so although this tent is more expensive we wonder if would be a safer bet in the long run.
We camped next to a Gelert tunnel tent in Norfolk last year. It was very very windy and their tunnel stood up to it really well. They'd pitched it well (which is often the problem) and it really didn't move. I was very impresed as I'd been concerend that the shape left them vunerable to storm.
