At the NEC they will be part of a bigger outdoors camping etc show, at nottingham they will have their tent range on display in the field next to the water gardens and a marquee full of equipment.
Never been to NEC show, but it is a big show with lots of different retailers and manufacturers putting on displays. But the show at Nottingham is JUST by Yeomans....it is one of their regular sales tactics throughout the summer to have a range of these outdoor displays -so that is the difference.
SO it depends what you want - a multi-company all day extravanganza that you will have to pay for, or a smaller one-company free event.
Have you ever wondered why Yeomans wont pay for an advert on this site....Surely if they think this site is so good to advertise on, they could pay for an advert and help support it, instead of using it for FREE advertising.
I think you are being slightly harsh on Yeomans - after all they are giving some tickets away for free which is a nice touch. There is also a thread on here about Outdoormegastore where many people are openly pleased that they are taking an interest in the site.
I personally like the suppliers keeping a relatively low key presence on here as they are best placed to offer some of the advice requested, and also able to help with queries about their own firms - which in turn makes UKCS stronger in the long run.
Of course I do approve of the moderators taking a firm line over blatent advertising which I know they do as I watched some posts disappear just this week. And if the suppliers decided to pay for advertising too, I'd think even better of them
Hi BrummyGit, if you read the post re suppliers being able to post, yes totally agree they should be able to, as for free tickets your local retailer can usually supply these to and again Yeomans show there need for Free advertising again.
