Were not away this weekend either, i have to work sat & sun, glad really the weather looks awful here (rain forcast for sunday & monday). We are going away next weekend (2nd) till monday, so looking forward to the break. Then only 4 weeks till my main holiday in Isle of Wight (really need that one now).
We'll be able to send you smoke signals when you're on Isle of Wight!
It's great when you can go when, and where you want. We are pensioners and keep well away from bank holiday camping .We look for the weather forcast for the area we want to go to, then we're off.Mind you we've got wet a few times Sorry for those away this weekend, hope they miss the rain

Im pleased tho cos at the minute its hail-stoning lots up here in northumberland!theyre bouncing off the ground and have been for a half hour!!Not nice at all(even got the heating on),roll on 2 weeks!
However our very new tent has just arrived and we put it up in the garden today - Little one (4) thinks its ace and we have had dinner, tea and bedtime stories in it. Would sleep but things such as lights, airbeds and sleeping bags yet to be invested in
I sense a trip to a camping store may be on the cards tomorrow ...............
well done! ours was due yesterday but some numbnuts took the additional payment for 24 hr delivery and didn't post it out as 24hr. Waited in all day. Oh well. My 10 y/o is on his second night in the garden, even in the torrential rain we had earlier, he's getting into this camping lark, must be hereditry lol
Hey, Guys, our kids don't get a half term next week , not even Monday off, so we're stuck at home too! Away in 5 weeks though - Brittany here we come !!
Nope not camping here either and am feeling sorry for all those that are as the weather here is aweful. Off though in Two weeks time to Old OAks for two weeks, Can't wait.
No we aren't camping this weekend either. I agree with Bob earlier in the Thread. Avoid camping on all Bank Holidays as the "chintzies" will be about in numbers.
Last time I camped on a Bank Holiday we had a gang of wedding revellers descend on the site at midnight - full parping of horns, screaming and shouting and obscenities - oh yes and stereo up full blast until 4am. I did complain to them but spent the rest of the night listening to them berating me "the ***** with the kid". Not a pleasant experience!
Still, what goes around comes around. The skies opened at about 6am and the site owner threw them off. There they were in their wedding finery, mascara pouring down their faces as they took down their tents.
So from now on it's any time other than Bank Holidays that we venture out with our tent.
