Once on camping hols and guy next door pulls up three kids 150 miles from home gets all the gear out of the car lays out ground sheet gets tent out starts to unpack tent no poles have to leave us looking after his kids and gear while he had to and buy a small tent .How do you leave poles

My hubby managed to forget the tent poles.  We drove down the New Forest with son, his mate, our baby, dog, hubby and myself.  We had taken our larger tent and a pup tent for the boys.  Got out all the bags, unpacked big tent and the poles were still in our loft!!!!!   In the end, I crammed in the pup tent with the boys for the night and sent hubby, baby and dog home for the poles.  They arrived back at the site early in the morning, got the tent up, had brekkie and then out for the day.

I hasten to add, he has never forgotten them since

Learning for you all, I have started to pack the poles and the pegs in with the tent!  Hopefully will never forget that - sure I will realise I have too much room in the car if I did.

I did forget the stove on our last trip, OH was not overly impressed he missed out on a cook breakfast for Fathers Day. I had the pans, gas, bacon etc!  Maybe thats why he is not keen to go again lol
