I'm a member of the C&CC. I am still not sure why. I think that the only reason is to get the RAC home recovery service that you don't get if you are not a member. I don't use the sites and my view of the magazine is "poor old trees". I get a CCI card off them as well and I don't know why I bother with that because I don't use sites abroad either. No, it's only for the RAC thingy at the end of the day

Its up to you how you use your membership. It only cost us £16 membership as we have been members over 25 years and are over 65. We use the sites , the THS sites and the weekend rallies and reckon we get a great deal.

Hi Alan
I am a disabled 65 year old and val is 68 and will be 69 in December, we start camping in April and finish in October I will admit to an EHU and 2Kw heater April and May and September to October and now and again in between but we never get cold in the tent. We carry a gas heater when we are on 12volt and solar panel.
So we do benefit a lot with the cheaper rate's for the mature camper

We have always take our 2 weeks annual hols the last week in June /first week in July, and have been to most parts of the country but as we qualify for age concession it make our hols very reasonable. Very rare do we go on a none CC&C site

Hi tentpegjenny.
The standard price for a standard member of the C&C Club is better value for money than the majority of camping sites in the UK.
You can book with confidence at a price less than most sites with all modern services and can guarantee not to be over crowded and kept awake most of the night, as you are on a lot of private sites,
Then they are the deals for the over 55 year old's, what is wrong with that, we old folk who have done 50 years working and paying our taxes, are thankful for the cheaper prices,
As the government do not help us.
Plus for the family they can also get a deal with the C&C Club.
No the club does need to sort a few things out for the camper under canvas, but in my opinion, value for money they are the TOPS.
