I don't see what all the fuss is about. Someone having a bunch of gadgets that help to improve his, his partners and their childrens trip seems ok to me. He is not affecting anyone else's stay and seems to have a bit of spare cash and/or a good contact to buy equipment from.

I'm not sure why he is getting so much criticism. Perhaps it jelousy. Camping is what you make of it. It should not be doing what everyone else does. If his lucky ladies get to wear clean dry clothes all the time, we shouldn't begrudge him for it! He follows the rules and is quiet at night. I think we have more to worry with noisy night time neighbours! Camping is not just about getting back to the basics. If it was, we shouldn't have toilets or shower rooms at campsites.

I for one wish that I had the space to put a tumble dryer in my own home! Let him have his tumble dryer, as long as he lets me borrow it when its raining I'm happy!

Hi Shelli

No you are not mad.

I too use an ehu but find we only use it for our leccy cool box are toying with not taking that either this time.

BUT - like you to on our last but one camping expedition we were camped next to a family who seemed not to have totally absorbed the idea of camping.

When they packed up we were out playing with the kids. so could see most of what they were putting away. We were prepared to see them carying a full size fan oven screwed to a plinth which they then stack intheir trailer!

Needless to say we were both gobsmacked, like an eclipse you aren't supposed to look at it but we just couldn't help it. We were so shocked we ended up talking it over all the way home

We had a chuckle at one bloke with his satalite dish. He spent about 2 hours faffing about with it whilst his rather glum looking wife put the ground sheet down and struggled with the awning. I can tell you what I would have done with his sattelite dish.......

Oh am loving the tin tent after campaining against it..........I was wrong.
