The guy said (and this may be sales patter) that Outwell are going to have to increase their prices after Feb because they buy in euros - sounds like rubbish but I didn't want to take the risk...
I don't think this is rubbish nelmo. Outwells as well as several other tent companies manufacture in China and with the devaluation of sterling I have been told that prices may rise by about 25% on 2008 prices.
Happy camping

Hi Jo - sorry for delay been a bit busy saleing....off to France last two weeks of July - somewhere between Ile d'Oleron and La Rochelle but can't decide on campsite. Anyone been to Fouras? Have recruited helpers to put up tent on her inaugural pitch - shame she lives 120 miles away (my sister). Feel it's safer for marital peace to have a gobetween for when my tangerine dream is pitched - and I'll definitely post photos when she's up. I'm desperate to see it too!!! Hope you're happy with your purchases and a here's to a great camping year.
i didnt get anything camping for xmas apart from uno in a dalek box :o) which i think counts as we play it in the tent i'd already got my electric cool box to,
somebody mentioned a cool camping cook book on this thread, does anybody know the full name or the author cos i would like to have a look at it
------------- A tent is like a newborn born baby..... to some they all look the same..... but if its yours it's beautiful.

We`ve got the `Cool Camping Cookbook`.......I think its good, esp. if you have a Cobb and a campfire.
Today I got a tiny set of kitchen scales - perfect for camping, an led wind up torch and a fold up step stool (as I'm such a short ar$e) !!
Very happy here! Had a lovely day despite my car dying on me this morning and all the lights fusing this afternoon!
Sorry just realised what you said there Anne! What do you do with kitchen scales when you're camping? My mind is well boggled now! I mostly manage without them at home so I can't imagine what I'd need them for in the tent!
It's brilliant. We pitched it on New Years Eve in the garden and had a load of friends round. - 3 degrees outside and we were sitting around in t-shirts in the tent toasty warm!
