Has anyone else noticed that the bigger the car is the smaller the tent is that comes out of it. The last couple of times we have been away for the weekend, a Mercedes or a BMW has driven in, and the driver and passenger have had the smallest two person tent its possible to have. They have had a tent and a couple of chairs and a small camp stove. Then you see a Fiat Punto or a Renault Clio crammed to the gills with gear.
I couldn't contemplate even a weekend with a tent I couldn't sit inside. What happens if it rains - do you go to bed at 7pm because you've nowhere else to sit?
These big cars have huge boots - there's lots of space for a bigger tent, so what's the story?
lol this will be like us when we start to camp! although it will be a small 4 person tent in our case. with 4 passengers emerging from the Mercedes
our reason is that we have never camped before,so dont wish to spend lots of £££s on a tent etc
if we like it then we will upgrade.and have a trailer for all the extra equipment too
