Old clothes, cos beleive me you wont get some of the stains out. Croc style shooes. Waterproof coat - but it he kids are anything like Alice this will lie abandoned by the tent.
Stuff to keep them amused in the tent. Cheap colouring books/crayons/dough. I buy cheap stuff, and then it doesn't matter if it gets lost/wet etc.
We also have a supply of games that we keep just for camping, and they will come out if we need to spend time in the tent/camper (depending what we are using).
Outdoor toys - I keep a couple of folding scooters in my car, so we permanently have those with us.
Mine take their DSs - great for the journey, and those times when you want them in the tent, and quiet, or you need to get on with something. They are not allowed to use them all the time though. Usually before breakfast when it is too early to go out and play.
Abandon bed times, ket the kids go when they are tired. Pointless trying to get a kid to bed at 7.30 when they can hear every other kid on site playing. The only thing that I insist on before bed is teeth. If need be they can go to bed dirty, as we usually get a shower in the morning anyway.
