How odd, I've just found one in my back garden, first one I've seen close up.

Hi. A short while ago I found one outside where I work. For reasons I really must not explain it had to have arrived there within the previous 24 hours. The paper was almost totally burned away leaving the wire frame and just a few bits of charred paper. Luckily, it did no damage. I would agree - ban them all along with all sales of fireworks to the general public. Please don't think I'm an Elf 'n' safety fanatic. I'm not. I just thing both the Chinese lanterns and fireworks are a pain in the backside.

Pete
