I have so much admiration for you cold weather campers. Even in summer I go to bed wearing thermals and a fleece, plus my 3/4 seasons sleeping bag and quite often a fleece liner in it too.

You could consider a pipsqueak wood burning stove for cooler weather! I assume if your bell tent is similar to mines that it has a kevlar flue vent built in to the sidewall? They are a bit bulky to pack but they punch out some heat! I use a stove when I take my tipi away in the winter and it really makes a difference even lighting it 1/2 hr before breakfast waiting on your water boiling on the top! Luxury!
Sounds really cosy! It would certainly be possible to cut a hole and fit the flue but apart from the cost I couldn't squeeze it in my Fiesta along with everything else!
I can almost feel the warmth! Must resist temptation . . . must resist temptation . . .! If I ever had the money and the car I might look into it, but it won't be anytime soon.
