We went to fangfoss campsite, was really loud and wasnt the best site ive ever been to, wont be going back! Had a lovely time in york though, day trips etc.

The only noise we had was the quack of the ducks and the ring road nearby, but it wasnt what we'd call annoying in any way. You should give the York Caravan Site a try (although its Adults only, so no kids allowed). This was our grown up trip of the season and we had a great time chilling out. Went to the Yorkshire museum and the Castle Museum and spent the rest of the time relaxing.

Oh must add that one to my list, we are hoping for a child free weekend in september! We went to the castle museum, train museum, york maze, water world, castle howard and creepy crawlies adventure park, kids had a great time!
