I think pop-up anything is a good idea - we have a laundry basket thing for keeping shoes in when we are camping. It's made of perforated material that lets the air circulate (and with my feet we need it to circualte a lot!!!)

IKEA has big fold flat boxes for children,

I completely misread that and thought you were advocating locking the kids in a box!

Believe me, sometimes I would think this a good idea...

We don't have a lot of room so I take one large holdall for the four of us and keep it in the boot of the car. To avoid the rummage I keep stuff in brightly coloured carrier bags within the holdall.

A green one for T-shirts, blue on for undies, yellow for sox... that sort of thing. It still gets a bit of a jumble sale at times, but I manage most times.

Lack of space means I can't get too carried away with stuff anyway. Over the years I've slimmed the kit down loads so if the folk over the field look like the clampets, come over and say hello cos it's us.
