When a Seller doesn't set a reserve or starting price they should get what they get, I think they were very lucky to get your bid of £125 because (for example) if it was listed in the wrong place as I've seen many times before they could have ended up with £1!
They have stupidly given you proof of the reasons they went back on the sales so you are in strong position but in my experience eBay will do little or nothing.
