Hi Tigermouse,
Thinking about it now you ask the penny should have dropped earlier !
The main picture was taken from the Outwell catalogue so no picture of the tent up, the other two pictures were of the footprint laid out with the poles and carpet laid on it and the other was of the flysheet laid on the ground but folded so you could only see a small section of it.
That's why I was asking.
A few years ago I got scammed twice by different sellers listing the same type of item - a very popular boxset of dvds selling for £150 in the shops but much cheaper on ebay. On both occasions the photos were 'stock' photos from the internet and not of the actual items - I paid by Paypal but never got the goods and ended up opening disputes. I have to say ebay were on the ball in both cases, I got my money back and the sellers were kicked off ebay. In the first case I was contacted by two other buyers who had 'bought' the same item but hadn't received it, then other buyers came forward and it turned out that the seller had 'sold' the same item to nine other buyers as well as me - at £50 a time that was a nice little earner just before Christmas! Thinking about it afterwards it was doubtful that either seller had actually had an item to sell as it's just so easy to get a 'stock' photo supplied via ebay or from somewhere else on the internet. So ever since then I never buy anything from an ebay seller if they don't have proper photos of the item or only show a 'stock' photo in their listing. Ok, so maybe some sellers using 'stock' photos are genuine but after those two experiences I'm afraid I don't trust anyone who doesn't use their own pics of whatever they are selling.
