Offer them earplugs lol. Good way to get a convo going. Ive been lucky always camped with a big group as a charity member so we kinda warn.sort out quiet zones, snorers etc before invading the site, have our own field etc.

Do not use washing up liquid. Just water. You can buy special tent cleaning products, but never use anything else other than water. Most of my tents have been used as dog toilets, but I have never had any problems after.
------------- Canvas tent, paraffin light, petrol stove. Heaven
I'd rather be kayaking.
Spent up, not pent up, just had my new tent up.
Well still no reply from the cc. I gave them all the information they needed down to registration number etc.
I guess my idea of joining the cc to get more respectable campers was wrong.
Need to plan our next trip now. The sooner we get out camping again the sooner my better half will remember why we started camping in the first place.
I just used warm water to clean the dog pee from the porch/canopy. Seems to do the trick.
------------- September 27th. I'm going away. Don't care where. Just going!!!!
thanks for all your replies had the the same problem with loud music ourselves this week end gone looks like some people don't know what respect is or even spell it

They need to visit the site we've returned from the dog would have been shot and owner ejected no questions .
thats one good thing about being an early riser. revenge. if its daylight and people have been noisy until late i am not too bothered telling my youngest ( 4 yr old) to be a bit quieter. nothing worse than trying to sleep in the daylight with a hangover and a loud child having fun playing with his dad so i am led to beleive.
I like a drink but know when its time to be quiet. about 22.00 is s sensible cut off for shouting and screaming and loud music.
Always been to sites with wardens and curfews on noise. Never thought about dogs pi**ing on tents not very hygienic with kids running around!!!
------------- weekend camping in Scotland anyone?
Faskally Meet, Near Pitlochry see forum Meeting up-Scotland

Just wondering if anyone has experience with cc sites. They seem to attract " proper " campers and not the idiots. We're just wondering if this is the way we can still camp knowing that we can all get a good nights sleep.
My experience of C&CC sites is that "quiet at night" rules are quite rigorously enforced. That's why I like them!
I've never seen dogs roaming free on their sites either.
If you're a member, you save quite a bit on pitch fees.
Thanks everyone. Looks like we'll be joining the cc. Even if it's only for a better nights sleep. I'm sure what we experienced was an isolated incident and it's not going to put us off.
We're now planning our next trip in May as it's my next weekend off.
Damm work stopping me going away.......

We have just returned from Willingcott CC site at Woolacombe and the noise from the Golden Coast site next door was quite bad.
Almost every evening they had some sort of terrible singer on who shouted at everybody in between songs and there was drunken laughter and shouting well in to the early hours,we were at the furthest point from them so it would have been much worse next to the footpath that separates the sites. We did wonder when we got there why there was more empty pitches on that side of the site
They are also building more chalets right next to the path and we had diggers and jack hammers going during the day, this did not bother us too much as we were out most days but it will put more drunken idiots too close for our liking and we have cancelled our booking for June.
We have sent a review to the CC but as it would put some people off using Willingcott i doubt they will use it.
