I like the look of those Ikea bags as we could give each person a different colour. It's a shame they don't sell them online!

The thing that puts me off the vacuum bags is the time it would take to deflate them. I don't mind creased clothes but with 3 kids to keep an eye on I am usually just shoving things madly in bags at the end of the trip!

We wouldn't have room for more plastic boxes - we have a couple for the kitchen stuff, and need the clothes to squash around them.

Will keep a look out for other cheap holdalls I think, or failing that some zip-up laundy bags that some of you mention.

thanks all!

Have just found that Decathlon sell some pretty cheap holdalls, in different colours.

They are not as cheap as the Ikea ones, but we are doing a Decathlon trip anyway (I want the Quechua shelter as have a feeling we may be getting some rain!) and I don't have an Ikea nearby. Hopefully they will do the trick.

Was thinking the Domyos or Kipsta looked the best.

Jane they deflate really quickly in about 5 mins and just open the tops and it all bounces back to size.

We did ours the day before as we knew what we were wearing for the trip.

space bag

They also sell them on ebay, but make sure there are the real ones and not a rip off brand.
