That is why I perfer the Fiamma Bi Pot over the Thetford we also have.
No U-bend pipe for things to get stuck in, the Fiamma has a large fill/empty cap so no spashing and much easier to empty and clean.

I actually don't mind emptying this loo as it is soooo easy!

We used to use an old Racasan bucket with a loo seat & lid (like the Luggable Loo). We then upgraded to a flushing loo.............for just one 9-day trip. We both found it a pain to empty, so fiddly having to pull a pipe out from the bottom & turn it, then wait while it empties. When we got home, I wasn't convinced that I'd cleaned it properly as there were so many nooks & crannies in the thing.

So it got stored in the garage, and the old Racasan came back into use. We use it every trip, and it's just so easy to empty, just pour the contents out of the bucket part, hose it, swish it around & empty again. Then when we get home it's really easy to clean & sterilize.

ha! ha! ha!  I'm reading this during my lunch hour at work and laughing my head off!  Everyone wanted to know what i was laughing at so read a few of these out to the team - now they wish they hadn't asked!!!!!

Anyway, Kampa Khazi all the way!  I use mine with a bit of water in the bottom and some Zoflora to mask the smell of man wee!  Night time number 1's only though.  Emptying is dead easy, and a swill around with fresh water and some more Zoflora gets it clean before leaving a bit more fresh water in the bottom and a bit more Zoflora for the next night.  I also have a spray disinfectant for the base, seat and lid in case of little boy dribbles!

*off for a Mars Bar* !!!

Not sure if its already been said but I think the problem is in that its a "ROYAL LOO" so someone should be emptying it for you..problem solved..

Well I can't believe this thread is running and running I'm just glad it's brought some smiles to everyone's faces.. even I laugh about it when I'm not camping :-)

Well we stocked up on pink and blue solutions at the weekend, and I gave it a quick bleach too in anticipated of our upcoming holiday... so we're all set. I can hardly wait

Happy camping to all
