Wish we had bought the next size trailer up but there wasn't one bigger! We have the Maypole with the mesh sides and cover. We have a Vauxhall Zafira and a bike rack on the rear window!
We are seriously short of space, the children are buried under bedding and we can only fit two bikeson the bike rack as the third bike is too close to the trailer when we are trying to turn!
What fun! I told hubbie at the time that the tailer wouldn't be big enough to the joyful sounds of him saying "you worry too much, there's loads of room!".

Once in lifetime trip to Florida Oct 2015!!!
We've been down this route.. bigger car, back box, roof box, trailer and then extent trailer. Now back to car and back box as just decluttered, left the tv and microwave at home and just took the basics.
We now much prefer our holidays as instaed of a day to erect all and put away it now only takes a few hours.
We did the usual, car, car and bike rack, car bike rack and roof box, car bike rack roof box and small trailer. Then all that onto progressively bigger cars! Now bought this puppy to fit it all into...

Driving back with it over fen roads made me want to buy a break away cable (I thought these were a legal requirement?)
--------------------------------------------------------
breakaway cables are for "braked" trailers to pull the breaks on the trailer in event of a detachment,
unbraked trailers should have a "safety chain" attatched from the trailer to the towbar, to keep the trailer "attatched" to the car in the event of a detatchment.
hope this helps

We're a family of three. We have a Picasso and took two seats out the one time we've been camping so far. It was a squeeze and we didn't take bikes, or even the stand for the cooker.
Saw some roof bars on ebay that were cheap. Bought them.
Then started looking for a cheap roofbox, and saw a 5ft by 3ft trailer locally for an excellent price, so bought that.
I was going to re-sell the roof bars on eBay, but having read this I might keep them ...
Thanks pjaz. I think I've done okay getting genuine roof bars and a 5ft by 3ft trailer for £80 or so all in - the prices were too good to turn down really.
Being from Yorkshire I can justify the roof bars as a means of avoiding paying a trailer supplement when we go on Cal Mac ferries :)

2 months ago, the wife decided that camping wasn't for her so we sold our Erde 153 shown in the first post and started clearing out the camping stuff.
Today, we picked up our Brenderup and are off to France for 10 days in the tent and going as far south as possible.
I can't believe i am on my third trailer!
Good on you both, and you will not be disappointed with your Brenderup.
