Probably take a lot of that - but without some of the things - but..plus a few others - each to their own!! We do like our comfort and why do without what you already have?!
Also much to the annoyance of my OH, I do soooo like making lists - even for things around the house I have to have a list (there's always a list going somewhere). I just like being organised and lists help. Making a camping list does indicate that the holiday is close and it starts getting exciting!!
I do have two camping lists (each is subheaded), one for short stays and one for long - even though they are mostly packed up already in separate plastic boxes - it's good to do a check list - things may have broke or needed repairing (or.. heaven forbid - crossed over!), so these can be checked beforehand and sorted.
OH jokes and says "is that on checklist 2, subsection 3.1" but I don't care - the system works and that's all that matters!!
Oh, we bought a whirlygig at the Camping and Caravan show this year - yet to be used - but I think will prove useful - must remember to put it on the list!

We have a list and it's long and ever-growing. I find that I feel more settled the day before a camping trip knowing that I've got a checklist.

We have also organised our things so that bags can be lifted without having to double check and rummage. There's a holdall for everything, nothing is carried loose.

We also have exclusive camping items e.g. Towels, tea towels, toiletries, cutlery and cookware, and nightwear, so no need to grab these easily forgettable items.

Other easily forgettable items: spare lightbulb(s), earplugs.

Our list also includes a "to do" aspect I.e. Switch off and unplug items in the house, turn heating and hot water down/off, check doors and windows are locked, empty fridge and bin......

SEPTEMBER 2017 - three brief trips
OCTOBER 2017 - hopefully one final trip before Halloween

I remember the 'motorcyclists essential european touring checklist'.

1. Credit Card.
2. Toothbrush.
3. Passport.
4. Fill up tank and go.

Taking a look at some of the videos on this site...it's not far off. lol

Ah yes, I do use a list and I still managed to forget:

. waterproofs (for all 5 of us) for Cornwall in July - yes there was a MASSIVE downpoor on the last night and we would have used them (if we had them). Next morning it was only light showers - just enough to have a wet tent to take home.

. tables, the one for eating/colouring on (using paper please) and the kitchen set up with space for stove and storage for all food stuffs and cooking bits. Mr F went back home for these when we stopped in the New Forest for lunch. Was gone 2 1/2 hours!!
