We go to Keltie Bridge in Callander quite often and it's only 26 miles away from us.

Occasionally my wife will have to work on a Saturday so if we're camping its only 15 miles down the road and I get the day to myself

For 1 or 2 night trips away we tend to go a maximum of 1 hours drive away. Can,t see the point of spending hours driving when all we want to do is chill out, have a bbq and enjoy the piece and quite in the countryside

It will obviously depend on location and quality of the campsite, luckily for myself I am only 20 minutes from being in deep countryside and have often camped in a great site that is only 30 minutes away and very well pirced.

Once you are on the site, as others have said, you could be a million miles away from home!!

We are lucky enough to live in an area of outstanding beauty and can be in North Devon or Dorset in around an hour so have plenty of choices of where to camp! Looking forward to exploring new places this year!!

We often camp 30 minutes away from our house 😆 we found a perfect place and it means less driving more chilling out 😄
