Hi just been away for a long weekend to Nicholaston Farm Caravan & Camping it’s between Three cliffs bay and Oxwich Bay on the Gower a top class site as 388 views on Trip adviser and has five stars just did not want to come home but have to go back to work if i want to go and sleep out under the star's again
Probably, came home today because it started to rain. If it stops and the sun comes out again, we will put a couple of bags in the car and head back. The joys of having a caravan 45min from home. I know its not proper camping but its suits us.
I too had some 'not proper camping' over the hot weekend, as my favourite campsite (Rynys, near Betws-y-Coed) has one static caravan which I managed to nab for three nights after a cancellation. Oh, the luxury! Sitting under the adjacent silver birch enjoying the shade, watching the campers plodding up to the facilities block with their washing up and seeing the field empty of weekenders on Sunday, leaving all the little flat patches of grass and peace and quiet and lovely scenery - I could get used to that! I'm so glad I wasn't in a tent in that heat; anything over 25C makes me quite uncomfortable.
