Well, my tent is on its 3rd outing in a month, we are at upwood park near Haworth, its definately had its fair share of wind and rain today, and I'm well happy.
I always thought the canvas tents needed weathering but not a drop.
Our bell tent is making it's debut this Thursday...We are booking four nights but only staying three....On the last night we would only be sleeping on the site anyway so all of the fourth day will be dedicated to let the tent dry thoroughly before we pack it away. It's hit and miss with the weather but the back end of the week is forecast to be dry.
------------- Getting old isn't fun but the alternative is much worse.

We did the same with ours. Soon as it was up on it's first trip it chucked it down and not a drop came in. No weathering in with ours either.

We didn't proof the Robens either and it was fine. I wonder if it's more of an issue if tents have been sat around for a long time before being sold/used.
