may sound rather dull but my all time fav camping nosh is good ol fashioned camping stew! tinned steak, veg, tatties and gravy etc all cooked in one big pan - cant beat it! thing is tho u would never eat it at home as it looks to be frank rather horrid! but there is no better wat to start a camping hol!
You can't been a nice peice of steak or pork done on the barbie with garlic or minted spuds and salad but if you don't want to get the barbie going a good alternative is one of those Hellmans warm chicken salad sauces made up with chicken exactly as per the instructions. Yummmmmmmmmm!

Our fav is roast chicken, baked potato and corn on the cobb done in the cobb. Tastes sooo good and much better than roast at home. Always have this, at least once, even if only away for weekend!!
Well I'm boring! One of those packets of pasta with sauce that you just add milk...and add fried bacon bits and mushrooms to it...mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
Might be more creative this year, but with just one gas hob it does leave me a bit limited!
We always try to use local butchers for out meats instead of pre-packed supermarket stuff. SOme of the nicest sausage we have ever tasted comes from a local butchers in Borrowash near Derby which is close to a site we use a few times a year. They also do some fantastic locally preoduced meats like lamb and beef as well as more unusual buts like pigeon hich I've never been brave enough to cook myself.

For the more Avant-garde and adventurous another peticular favorite of mine are these:
may be with a couple of turkey twizzlers. Takes about seven seconds on the Cobb. Washed down with about three bottles of red wine "nicley chilled of course".
Camping with the missus: Steak, mash & 3 veg, covered in lovely rich gravy. And to start the day a full English breakfast.
Overnighters on the riverbank with my mates fishing supper usually consists of chilli con carne, or chicken and mushroom balti, washed down with two lovely cans of Murphys. (Have to say that these meals are prepared first at home by my darling wife and then I just have to heat them through and boil some rice). Is it any wonder that my mates all love my missus - and they love me 'cos I cook and dish it up for 'em... lazy beggars!
