I am a real whooss (sp?) when it comes to feeling cold at night, but I find the single best piece of equipment is a hot water bottle. With a good cover on it , it will stay warm most of the night. The bed is warm when you get in too!
(Have even been known to fill a plastic lemonade bottle from the hot water tap in the showers as an impromptu hot water bottle when I have left mine at home!)
