Where did you dig up that old photo of me going camping

The biggest space saver tip is...take less. Sure, this is the dieters equivelent of "eat less" but both are true, we just don`t want to listen!

Seriously, make a list ove EVERYTHING you want to take, down to the last sock, then score off 20% of it by volume.Trust me, you won`t find this quite as difficult as you might think. Do you really need two fleeces? Two towels each for the weekend? Barbecue and PartyGrill? If you had better sleeping bags, perhaps you could dispense with the extra duvet to put on top? And the two mats and fleece blanket to put underneath? If you didn`t pack your clothes in a "spacesaving" bag but rather a holdall, then you might not need the travel iron and travel ironing board and the hanging rail, eh?

The tendency is to think you need to take more things to solve the problem, rather than work back to the root. High performance equipment that is made for camping and packs small may look more expensive up front but if you don`t need to buy a trailer to carry the bargain things then the prices start to look a lot more reasonable.

My solution to leaving anything behind & having enough space for it, one or two sites said I need a double pitch though
