New member here! Can't stop reading the posts and saw your question re honeymooning in a tent.
YES!! It was in June 91 and it wasn't by choice but HE had poured all our savings into the local boozer so it was all we could afford. Therefore we didn't book, just took a map and old camping guide and managed to find a few terrific sites around Oxford and Warwickshire. The only downside was the company...I feel sure I would've enjoyed it had I been on my own!! Havng started badly we divorced a couple of years later and I have never been camping since!!
I got married July 05 to my wonderful partner of 9 years (10 years in August) at a gorgeous hotel in Gretna Green!! Very romantic...even with our two children and parents with us! Now we have bought a tent and are eagerly planning our first ever family camping trip with my sister and family.....this time I can't wait and looking forward to making plenty of good memories!
hi everyone, just got back from Osmington Mills near Weymouth and there were a couple there on honeymoon. They had a big banner tied to the frot of their tent with 'just married' on it and lot of balloons and bows as well. It prompted loads of people to talk to them especially as they were near the top shower block !!

We honeymooned in the tent in Swanage last Whitsun - just the two of us.... and the kids!!! We got married on the Friday before the bank holiday weekend so that we didn't lose a days camping!
I've suggested it for my wedding in July next year as we can't find anywhere that we really want to go. We're going on a hot holiday in March so thought we might just spend out honeymoon camping in Cornwall although i've got to talk the fiance round to the idea, she's thinking nice hotels, Ithinking a tent near Lands End,
Lands end in a tent, brilliant,we stayed on a farm at Lands End.The Sunsets, excellant so romantic.Just show her lots of piccies and get lots of info to show her she will soon come round or why not have your honeymoon night in a hotel then move onto the camping.
